I have made my way through 70 countries and lived long-term in several, including Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, the West Bank, and the Federated States of Micronesia. I am a "southern belle" lawyer who was out to change the world, but instead the world changed me. A long way from my hometown in Albertville, Alabama, and the practice of law, I've worked with many countries to develop their legal systems and promote human rights. Now, I work as the Managing Director of the Indian River Symphonic Association, as an adjunct business law professor at Indian River State College, and as a writer.
